About the Role

This is where great PR careers start. As an Account Coordinator, you’re the engine behind our client teams. You track the coverage, find the story in the data, build the lists that open doors, and give senior team members room to think big. You’ll learn how a modern agency really works, and you’ll be encouraged to speak up when you see a smarter way to do it.

What You’ll Do

  • Keep clients ahead of the story

  • Track media placements and conversations in real time and flag what matters to your team and clients.

  • Build activity, quarterly, and annual reports that tell a clear story about what the coverage achieved.

  • Dig into industry and competitor trends and bring back insights the team can act on.

  • Keep client agendas and trackers organized so nothing slips.

  • Coordinate reprints and help clients get more mileage from their coverage.

  • Put ideas into words

  • Draft press releases, award nominations, social posts, and other client materials that sound like the client and meet our standards.

  • Open doors with the media

  • Research and build targeted media lists.

  • Draft and send pitches when advised, tailored to each reporter and outlet.

  • Spot editorial calendar, award, and conference opportunities before anyone asks.

  • Draft and distribute media alerts.

  • Be a real partner to clients

  • Join client calls and meetings, take the lead on notes and action items, and follow through.

  • Contribute to client research projects and share fresh ideas, formats, and tools worth trying.

  • Help us stay ahead

  • Stay curious about how media, social platforms, and PR technology are changing, and share what you learn.

  • Try new tools and approaches with your supervisor’s guidance, and help us figure out what works.

  • Represent JConnelly

  • Bring our values, approach, and high standards to every client, media, and public interaction.

  • Pitch in wherever the team needs you.
