Python Test Automation Developer

Role: Python Test Automation Developer

Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python scripts for test automation.
• Build and implement Test Automation frameworks.
• Develop test automation programs using Python and Robot Framework.
• Utilize Python and test frameworks for programming, dashboards, and report generation for test summaries.
• Define and enforce Test Automation coding standards.
• Perform API testing using tools like Netconf, SNMP, gRPC, gNMI, or Network Device CLIs.
• Test IP networking protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, RIP, ISIS, MPLS, STP, VLAN, LACP) for protocol compliance and performance.
• Handle IXIA and Spirent traffic generators.
• Work within Agile workflows.

Qualifications

• 2-8 years of strong experience in Python scripting and test automation.
• Deep understanding of Test Automation frameworks (Pytest, PyATS, Robot framework).
• Hands-on proficiency in at least one API testing tools, Netconf, SNMP, gRPC, gNMI or Network Device CLIs.
• Strong understanding of IP networking protocols like OSPF, BGP, RIP, ISIS, MPLS, STP, VLAN, LACP etc.
• Extensive experience in handling IXIA, and Spirent traffic generators.
• Knowledge in GIT, Jenkins, JIRA, and Agile workflow.

Good-to-Have:

• Knowledge in AWS/Azure services
• Knowledge of triaging bugs, test topologies for network devices
• Experience in Flask framework, REST APIs, Django
• Understanding on Docker containerization and VNFs or CNFs
