Top entry-level H-1B filers

How to use it

  1. Type the company name. A short name works best: “Deloitte”, not “Deloitte Consulting LLP”.
  2. Open a result to see its roles, pay and live jobs.
  3. If the company isn't listed, ask the recruiter early whether the role is open to sponsorship.

How to read the result

Every H-1B petition starts with a Labor Condition Application (LCA) filed with the Department of Labor. We count certified LCAs at wage Level I, the lowest of four levels, used for entry-level roles, for new employment. A company with many of them hires new grads on H-1B; one with none may still sponsor at higher levels or for experienced hires. Cap-exempt employers, such as universities and many research hospitals, can file H-1Bs at any time of year without the yearly lottery.

What this tool cannot tell you

An LCA is not a promise. It shows a company has sponsored H-1B workers for that kind of role, not that a particular job is open to sponsorship, or that a petition was approved. Always read the posting for lines like “must be authorized to work in the US” or “visa sponsorship available”, and ask the recruiter before you invest time in an application. This is general information, not legal advice. For your own case, talk to your school's international student office or an immigration attorney.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check if a company sponsors H-1B?

Search its name here to see its H-1B filings from Department of Labor data. A company with many entry-level (Level I) filings has sponsored new hires before. Then confirm in the job posting or with the recruiter, because sponsorship depends on the role.

What does entry-level H-1B (Level I) mean?

When an employer files an H-1B Labor Condition Application, it states a prevailing wage level from I to IV. Level I is the lowest and is used for entry-level jobs. We count certified Level I filings for new employment, which is what new grads are hired on.

Does a company that filed H-1Bs have to sponsor me?

No. Past filings show a company has done it, not that it will for your role. Ask the recruiter early, and prioritize companies with many entry-level filings.

What does cap-exempt mean?

Most H-1B petitions need a spot in the yearly lottery, but universities, nonprofit research organizations and some affiliated hospitals are cap-exempt and can file at any time. We flag universities, and mark hospitals and research institutes that may be exempt.

Why isn't my company in the search?

The list covers employers with at least three entry-level filings in the data window, plus cap-exempt universities and hospitals. Companies may also file under a different legal name, so try the parent company.
