Free Job Application Tracker
Keep every application in one place: company, role, link, date, next step and notes, sorted into Saved, Applied, Interview, Offer and Rejected. It works right here with no sign-up, saves in your browser, and exports to CSV for Excel or Google Sheets.
No account needed to use this tracker. Your list is saved in this browser only. Export a CSV now and then as a backup.
No applications yet
Add the first job you applied for, or save one you plan to apply to.
Next: write a follow-up email for an application that has gone quiet, or prepare for the interview.
How to use it
- Click Add application and enter the company, role, link, date and what to do next.
- Change the status as each job moves from saved to applied, interview and offer.
- Use the Board for a visual view or the Table for sorting through everything. Export a CSV from time to time as a backup.
Why track your job applications
A job search can mean dozens of applications in a few weeks. A tracker tells you which ones are waiting on you, when to follow up (about a week after applying is common), and which resume you sent. It also keeps interview details in one place when a recruiter calls without warning. Record the date you applied, the contact person, the next step and one line about the job. That's enough.
Where your data is stored
Applications are saved in your browser on this device and are never sent to our servers. That keeps them private, but it means they won't appear on another device, and clearing your browser data deletes them. Use Export CSV to back up or move your list, and Import CSV to bring it back. A free FirstHire account can sync your jobs across devices and alert you to new matching openings.
Frequently asked questions
Is this job application tracker free?
Yes, completely free. There is no sign-up, no limit on the number of applications.
Where is my data saved?
In your browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded. Clearing your browser data removes the list, so export a CSV as a backup.
Can I export my applications to Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Export CSV downloads a file that opens in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers. You can import the same file back later.
What should I track for each application?
The company, the role, a link to the posting, the date you applied, the status, the next step with a date, and notes such as the recruiter's name or the resume version you sent.
How often should I follow up on an application?
About a week to ten days after applying, then once more a week later. Put the date in the next step field so you don't forget. The follow-up email tool can write the message.
