SDC-Java Developer

About the Role

The FSO Technology Analyst role is based in EY's Service Delivery Center, working closely with experienced advisory professionals on Technology project-based work and managed services. This fast-paced position requires a flexible self-starter capable of managing changing priorities and learning new technologies. The role focuses on supporting clients in transforming their businesses through engineering solutions, modernizing systems, and driving business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist engagement teams through analysis of specific business requirements.
• Design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy distributed software applications.
• Deliver high-quality systems with a focus on reliability and excellent customer experience.
• Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
• Deliver engineering solutions through all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements definition, engineering design, development, integration, and testing, based on a proven agile methodology.
• Effectively work with client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, fostering an innovative and inclusive work environment.
• Demonstrate understanding of the current technology environment and industry trends, and provide recommendations for engagement and client service issues.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field.
• Prior fullstack software product development experience, with a preferred understanding of DevOps and its supporting services and tools.
• Hands-on technical capabilities in multiple programming languages.
• Experience in designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience building applications/platforms with cloud native/Microservices architecture, including experience with IaaS, PaaS, and container deployment.
• Experience with modern collaborative development tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines).
• Experience working with testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing.
• Knowledge of TDD or BDD software development techniques.
• Comfortable working in an Agile and TDD environment.

Qualifications

• Back-end experience using modern technologies like Java, Python, Node.js, REST, NoSQL, Microservices, Serverless, and Cloud technologies like AWS, or Azure.
• Front-end development with modern frameworks and practices like React, Angular, or Responsive web design.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
