Electrical Engineer

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer position based in Chennai. The role involves designing and reviewing electrical systems for EPCC projects in petroleum, oil and gas, offshore–onshore, and marine environments, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics.
• Perform calculations and load analysis for power distribution and power systems.
• Support equipment selection and technical evaluations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in site inspections and commissioning activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports.
• Support troubleshooting of electrical issues during project execution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain strict adherence to quality and HSE guidelines.
• Support client meetings with clear technical input.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in Electrical Design, including preparation and review of drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience with Power Distribution systems, including load calculations, equipment sizing, and protection coordination.
• Knowledge of Power Systems analysis, reliability, and integration with complex industrial infrastructure.
• Familiarity with relevant international and local electrical codes, standards, and HSE regulations.
• Ability to work on-site in industrial environments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate technical information clearly.
• Proficiency with electrical design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP or equivalent) is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with the ability to apply core concepts to industrial EPCC environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Experience in petroleum, oil and gas, offshore–onshore, or marine projects is an advantage.
