About the Role
Kuku FM is a rapidly growing audio content platform. This is a full-time, on-site Script Writer role based in Mumbai. The Script Writer will develop original scripts and story concepts for audio shows, series, and other formats aligned with Kuku FM’s content strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Researching topics
- Outlining episodes
- Writing and revising scripts
- Adapting narratives for different genres and target audiences
- Working closely with producers, voice artists, and the production team to refine scripts for recording, ensuring clear structure, engaging dialogue, and strong storytelling
- Reviewing listener feedback and performance metrics to improve existing shows
- Contributing ideas for new content
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Scriptwriting and scripting skills for audio and visual storytelling
- Screenplays and structured narrative development
- Writing abilities, including clear, concise, and engaging language
- Understanding of Video Production or audio production workflows
- Ability to write in multiple genres (fiction, non-fiction, infotainment, self-help) and adapt tone for varied audiences
- Excellent command of English and at least one Indian language commonly used in audio content (e.g., Hindi)
- Strong grammar and editing skills
- Collaboration skills
- Openness to feedback
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Experience in podcasting, audio shows, or media/entertainment writing is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Literature, Mass Communication, Film, Media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
