Graduate Software Engineer (Forward Deployed)

About the Role

An innovative defense tech company developing visual navigation software that enables drones to operate autonomously when GPS is unavailable, is seeking a graduate level Software Engineer (Forward Deployed) to provide technical expertise and work directly with the customer. This role is based onsite in San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities

• Working directly with the customer to deploy core products
• Integrating software onto drone platforms
• Customer demonstrations, debugging, integrations, tests
• Write and modify code (Python/C++)
• Train operators and teams inline with mission requirements and field deployments
• Work across code, hardware, field debugging and operation deployment

Requirements & Tech Stack

• C++ and Python skills (graduate level and above)
• US Citizen / Green Cardholders

Qualifications

• 0-2 years' experience in Software Development
• Deep passion and understanding of the UAV and Autonomy space at a graduate level
• Ability to travel 50% of the time - internally and internationally
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills - working directly with customers
