About the Role
TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Environmental Interns for our Summer 2027 intern program out of our New York, NY Office. This is a paid full-time position with an anticipated duration from June through August 2027 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists.
Key Responsibilities
- Support environmental investigation and remediation projects through fieldwork, environmental sampling, and reporting.
- Assist with soil, groundwater, air, and soil vapor sampling, as well as supporting remedial activities and routine site visits.
- Assist with interpreting environmental data, preparing technical reports and figures, and documenting findings in accordance with applicable regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination.
- Approximately 75% office-based work and 25% fieldwork at various project sites.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
- Pursuing Masters, Bachelors or Associate Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Time Management.

- Some field work experience.
- Solid technical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Detail-oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

- OSHA 40-hour safety or 30-hour OSHA safety training preferred but not required.
Compensation
Salary Range: USD $20.00 - USD $28.00 /Hr.
