About the Role

The Member role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Delhi Area, supporting the editorial and publication activities of the Journal of Engineering and Applied Science.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with managing manuscript workflows.
• Coordinate with authors, reviewers, and editors.
• Ensure submissions follow the journal’s guidelines and ethical standards.
• Perform preliminary screening of manuscripts.
• Track review timelines.
• Prepare documentation.
• Maintain accurate records in editorial management systems.
• Contribute to quality control of published content.
• Support communication efforts to expand the journal’s reach.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve processes and reader experience.
• Uphold professional and academic standards.
• Actively participate in the continuous development of the journal.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency with standard office software.
• Comfort working with digital editorial or content management systems.
• Willingness to learn new tools.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in engineering, applied science, or a related technical discipline, preferably at the graduate level.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and evaluate technical and scientific content.
• Familiarity with research methodologies and academic publishing practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with attention to clarity, accuracy, and professional tone.
• High level of organization and detail orientation.
• Ability to manage multiple manuscripts, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to uphold ethical and quality standards in scholarly publishing.
• Prior experience in journal editing, peer review coordination, or academic administration is beneficial but not mandatory.
