Design For Testability Engineer

About the Role

This full-time, on-site Design For Testability Engineer role is based in Bengaluru South. The engineer will design and implement testability features for complex products, collaborating closely with design, mechanical, electrical, and product engineering teams to ensure efficient testing throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Review product designs for test coverage.
• Develop and refine test strategies and fixtures.
• Optimize CAD models and documentation for manufacturing and validation.
• Analyze test data.
• Troubleshoot design and test issues.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to improve product reliability.
• Support continuous improvement of test processes and standards.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Design Engineering and Product Design to create testable, robust, and scalable product architectures.
• Strong Mechanical Engineering and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills to develop detailed models, fixtures, and assemblies that support efficient testing and manufacturing.
• Strong Electrical Engineering skills to collaborate on testable circuit designs, interfaces, and system-level integration.
• Relevant experience in Design for Testability (DFT), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Reliability (DFR) is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and quality.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work within cross-functional, multicultural teams.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Product Design, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
