Associate Laboratory Assistant

About the Role

Associate Laboratory Assistant at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance. This position is full-time with 8-hour, variable shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor, or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) in their absence.
• Provide technical, clerical, and patient care support services.
• Perform venipuncture, skin puncture, specimen collection, and specimen processing and distribution.
• Operate and maintain automated instrumentation (up to but not including resulting of laboratory data).
• Provide service to patients of all age groups.
• Perform non-technical duties including taking supply inventories, stocking supplies, and cleaning/maintaining work areas, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Provide service in a safe and professional manner, adhering to established policies and procedures.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire, OR
• California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire.
• Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy National Certification upon hire (Preferred).
• 3 months of experience as a Laboratory Technician in a hospital-based clinical laboratory (Preferred).
• 6 months of experience as a Phlebotomist (Preferred).

Pay Range: $25.00 - $33.78
