Job Title: Intern – RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety)

About the Role

Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Intern – RAMS for Summer 2027. This internship offers exposure to Reliability Engineering within the urban transit sector. The role is for eligible students and is hiring for May 2027 through August 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the organization, scheduling, implementation, and monitoring of project RAMS and V&V activities.
• Support the identification of competencies and request adequate RAMS staffing.
• Assist the project RAMS team in achieving project safety and reliability requirements.
• Contribute to project activities and communicate relevant information to the Project Manager.
• Assist in the delivery of RAMS documentation.
• Ensure the provision of schedule and cost constraints to relevant Product, Signaling, and System RAMS Engineers.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to support multiple projects and Project Managers simultaneously.
• Strong relevant technical skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Qualifications

• Current Engineering student at a 4-year university with a graduation date between December 2027 and December 2028.
