Fullstack Software Engineer, ADK

About the Role

Pelico is looking for founding engineers for its new agentic platform. This is a hands-on role where you will build the core features of the platform, working closely with customers and factory data. You will leverage company assets such as data, event dependency graphs, simulation engines, and next-best-action algorithms.

Key Responsibilities

• Ship agent capabilities end-to-end, from the tool/MCP and orchestration backend through to the React console.
• Harden the runtime by ensuring durable execution, retries, scheduling, and human-in-the-loop approvals for agent actions.
• Make agents trustworthy by growing the eval harness (scenario evals, LLM-as-judge) to catch regressions in agent behavior.
• Build a reliable console for real-time streaming of agent events, tool calls, and approvals.
• Set a craft bar by writing specs, maintaining frontend/backend contracts, and establishing reusable patterns.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• An excellent engineer who ships excellent code and has built real, full-stack things using Python and React, or can quickly learn to do so.
• Hungry and driven, seeking challenging problems with opportunities for growth.
• Rigorous with non-deterministic systems, valuing evidence over assumptions and owning issues through to production.
• AI-native and curious, with an understanding of agent frameworks, tools, and evals, and experience using AI coding tools daily.
• Calm and effective in fast-moving ambiguity, capable of turning uncertainty into workable plans.

Nice to have:

• Real AI/agent product experience (MCP, agent frameworks, evals).
• Experience with durable workflow engines (e.g., Temporal).
• Familiarity with streaming UIs.
• Experience with observability tools (OpenTelemetry).
• Familiarity with spec-driven development.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or discrete manufacturing contexts.

• Exceptional individuals, whether early in their careers from top programs or with several years of building experience.
