About the Role
The SAP EWM ABAP – Technical Consultant Ex role is a full-time on-site position based in Bengaluru.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and implementing custom ABAP solutions within SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
- Ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
- Analyzing functional specifications.
- Writing and optimizing ABAP code.
- Developing interfaces, enhancements, and reports.
- Supporting integration with other SAP modules and external systems.
- Troubleshooting technical issues.
- Performing unit and integration testing.
- Preparing technical documentation.
- Collaborating closely with functional consultants, project managers, and business stakeholders.
- Participating in solution design workshops.
- Supporting go-live activities.
- Providing ongoing maintenance and performance improvements for SAP EWM applications.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong experience in SAP ABAP development, including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and ABAP Objects.
- Hands-on expertise in SAP EWM technical components, including customizations, integration with SAP MM/SD, and warehouse process optimization.
- Proficiency in debugging, performance tuning, and problem resolution within SAP EWM and ABAP environments.
- Knowledge of SAP integration technologies (such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services).
- Experience working with cross-functional SAP modules.
- Ability to translate functional specifications into robust technical solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with functional and business teams.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle, testing practices, and documentation standards in enterprise projects.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse project team.
- Prior experience in on-site consulting roles is beneficial.
- Familiarity with warehouse, logistics, or supply chain processes is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- SAP certifications in ABAP or EWM are an advantage.
