About the Role
Bright News is a digital news and media platform delivering timely news, stories, and updates from India and around the world. The platform covers breaking news, politics, business, technology, education, entertainment, lifestyle, local news, and key social issues, focusing on making news simple, accessible, and engaging.
This is a full-time, on-site internship role for a News Anchor & Digital Content Presenter Intern based in the Greater Patna Area.
Key Responsibilities
- Present news segments on camera.
- Introduce stories.
- Engage viewers across digital platforms.
- Assist with news writing.
- Assist with script preparation.
- Perform basic reporting for local and national stories.
- Collaborate with the editorial and digital teams to produce short video explainers, social media clips, and live updates.
- Research topics.
- Coordinate with field reporters.
- Support the production team to ensure smooth broadcasts and digital content delivery.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Skills in Broadcasting and Broadcast Journalism.
- Ability to work in a studio environment.
- Experience or interest in working as a Presenter.
- Clear on-camera communication and confident delivery.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Comfort with digital media tools, social platforms, and basic video content workflows.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Patna Area.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced news cycles.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong ethical sense.
- Attention to detail.
- Interest in current affairs and social issues.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Reporting and News Writing for digital and broadcast formats.
- Proficiency in Hindi or local languages is an advantage.
- Current student or recent graduate in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.
