Flight Test Operations Support Engineer

About the Role

Raytheon Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) is seeking a Flight Test Support Engineer to join our Flight Test Operations (FTO) team. This position is responsible for supporting multiple functions in the planning and execution of manned flight test missions for our newest test platform – the Next Generation Testbed (NGT). The NGT is an advanced Experimental B737-800 that will replace our B727 Raytheon Multi-program Testbed (RMT). The role will also support flight test coordination activities with opportunities to develop as a Flight Test Engineer, Systems Engineer, Mission & Test Planner, or Test Project Lead. This position is an onsite role based in Ontario, California with occasional travel to support RTX flight test programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist coordination of flight test missions
• Support preparation and participate in flight test readiness reviews and customer airworthiness audits
• Support mission planning, coordination, and test reporting
• Perform work in classified and SAP environments.
• Travel up to 10% to CONUS/OCONUS test ranges

Requirements & Tech Stack

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• DoD Clearance: Secret
• Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.
• The ability to obtain a SAP Top Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• A University Degree in a technical or aviation related field or equivalent experience
• Aviation background to include a private pilot’s license
• Familiarity with aircraft flight operations
• Systems test experience
• Experience working in classified programs

Location: Ontario, CA

Salary Range: 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD
