The Role: Software Engineering Intern
As a member of the software engineering team, you will architect and solve complex problems that influence the direction of the digital asset space. Opportunities exist for frontend and/or backend work.
This is a semester-long internship program with 3 days a week in person at our New York City, NY office from January to April 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the development of new products and features on the Gemini platform, taking ownership of projects within small teams.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, receiving mentorship and guidance on design, testing, and scalability.
- Contribute technical ideas and solutions during planning and design discussions.
- Review and critique code with a focus on correctness, performance, and security.
- Enhance the reliability, performance, and maintainability of Gemini’s systems.
- Support production systems by diagnosing and resolving alerts or bugs.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or Master’s).
- Passionate about blockchain, digital assets, and the Web3 industry.
- Solid understanding of core software engineering and coding concepts.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Strong communication skills.
- Open to feedback and committed to growth.
Pay Rate
The hourly pay rate for this role is $50/hour in the State of New York.
Note: This role requires 3 days a week in person at our New York City, NY office from January to April 2027.
