About the Role

Insightful Duo is an independent digital publication covering economics, taxation, governance, public policy, society, technology, and other topics that help readers understand the world around them. We are looking for a Content Writing Intern who enjoys researching topics, learning new concepts, and turning complex information into clear, engaging, and useful articles. This is a learning-focused internship, but it is also a hands-on role. You will work on real content that may be published on the Insightful Duo website.

What You'll Work On

As a Content Writing Intern, you will be involved in the complete content creation process, including:

• Researching topics related to economics, taxation, public policy, governance, society, technology, and current affairs.
• Finding and evaluating reliable sources of information.
• Developing article ideas and content outlines.
• Writing well-researched, original, and reader-friendly articles.
• Learning and applying Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) principles.
• Adding relevant internal links and supporting information.
• Revising articles based on feedback.
• Keeping track of assigned tasks and deadlines.
• Contributing ideas for future articles and content.

What We Expect From You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Genuinely interested in writing and research.
• Willing to learn SEO rather than simply relying on instructions.
• Comfortable researching unfamiliar topics.
• Able to understand and follow detailed instructions.
• Responsible about deadlines.
• Willing to revise their work based on feedback.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Able to communicate clearly when facing difficulties or delays.
• Consistent in providing regular progress updates.

Most importantly: We value initiative and reliability over prior experience. You do not need to be an SEO expert when you join. However, you should be willing to learn, experiment, ask questions, and apply what you learn.

Requirements

• Good written English.
• Strong research ability.
• Basic understanding of written communication and grammar.
• Willingness to learn SEO.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to meet agreed deadlines.
• Consistent communication and progress updates.

Good to Have

• Previous blogging or content-writing experience.
• Knowledge of SEO.
• Experience with Google Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest, Ahrefs, Semrush, or similar tools.
• Experience with WordPress.
• Experience writing about economics, finance, taxation, technology, or public policy.

Important Expectations

Before applying, please make sure you can commit to the internship for the agreed duration. During the internship, interns are expected to:

• Complete assigned tasks within agreed timelines.
• Provide end-of-day (EOD) progress updates on agreed working days.
• Inform us in advance when they are unable to work or expect a delay, wherever reasonably possible.
• Follow instructions and incorporate feedback.
• Take initiative to learn SEO and improve their writing.
• Communicate rather than disappear when they encounter a problem.

If you are looking for an internship primarily to obtain a certificate without actively participating in the work, this internship may not be the right fit for you.

Certificate & Letter of Recommendation

A completion certificate may be provided to interns who successfully complete the agreed internship period and meet the essential requirements of the internship, including completing the agreed core deliverables. A Letter of Recommendation (LOR) is not automatically guaranteed. It may be provided based on the intern's actual performance, including:
