Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the face of Goodwill Industries of Akron, playing a vital role in supporting the mission.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shoppers and donors.
- Greet every person with a warm smile.
- Inform customers about the Elizabeth Clark Fund and encourage participation.
- Assist customers with purchases by operating the cash register and point of sale system accurately and efficiently.
- Complete reports, including donation counts, readings, daily business statements, deposits, and cash drawer balances.
- Answer phones with friendliness and a commitment to customer service, listening carefully.
- Select and price donated goods and textiles, ensuring quality control standards are met.
- Maintain neat and clean store areas.
- Engage with new and regular customers, fostering a positive experience.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to operate a cash register.
- Basic math, computer, and typing skills.
- Ability to count back change accurately.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
