The Role

Thought Pinnacle is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who enjoys working close to customers, understanding real business problems, and building technology that solves them. As an FDE, you will work across business discovery, solution design, prototyping, and implementation. This is a hands-on role for someone who can move between conversations with business stakeholders and technical implementation without losing sight of the outcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, existing workflows, and opportunities for improvement.
• Identify suitable use cases for AI, LLMs, agents, workflow automation, and systems integration.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts, then turn validated ideas into reliable solutions.
• Develop AI-powered workflows using APIs, Python, automation platforms, and relevant frameworks.
• Integrate AI capabilities with existing business tools, data sources, and internal systems.
• Evaluate solution quality, reliability, cost, security, and practical business value.
• Collaborate with non-technical teams to support adoption and make solutions usable in day-to-day operations.
• Iterate quickly based on customer feedback and real-world results.
• Document implementations, technical decisions, and measurable outcomes.

What we are looking for

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with ambiguous requirements.
• Practical experience building software, integrations, automations, or AI-powered applications.
• Familiarity with Python or JavaScript/TypeScript and working with APIs.
• Understanding of LLMs, prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, or related approaches.
• Ability to reason about business processes and identify where technology can create meaningful improvements.
• Comfort communicating with customers and translating business needs into technical solutions.
• A builder's mindset: you can prototype quickly, test assumptions, and improve solutions based on evidence.
