& Sponsorship Internship

About the Role

This is a short-term, paid internship opportunity from January 6, 2027, through April 1, 2027, with a pay rate of $10 per hour. The role requires an expected commitment of 40 hours per week during regular business hours, with occasional weekend work at events.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with fulfillment and delivery of all sponsor benefits and deliverables at all Rodeo Austin events.
• Oversee Mutton Bustin’ online registration.
• Coordinate details for Mutton Bustin’ Mania.
• Assist with sponsor activations at all Rodeo Austin events.
• Produce ProRodeo Day Sheets and assist with ProRodeo production in the Rodeo Arena.
• Support Rodeo Austin committees and staff in the following areas: Rodeo, Mutton Bustin’, and Gala Committees.
• Provide support leading up to and on-site at the Rodeo Austin Gala, including auction assistance and guest registration.
• Help with overall Rodeo Austin event set-up, including signage execution.
• Assist with Rodeo Austin grassroots marketing and PR efforts.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong interest and/or experience in event coordination, public relations, marketing, advertising.
• Knowledge of/Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Bonus points for experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or recently received a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Event Planning, Sports Management, Marketing, Business, Public Relations, Agriculture, Performing/Visual Arts & Entertainment, Digital Media, Social Media or a related program/degree.
• A strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
• Organization skills and resourcefulness.
• A self-starter mentality with an interest in learning new things and a high level of comfort working in a changing environment.
• Ability to remain poised and professional under pressure.
• Valid driver’s license.
