Software Engineering Internship

About the Role

We are seeking driven, product-minded engineering interns to join our team at an exciting stage of our startup's journey. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact by building products, tackling challenging problems, and seeing your work reach real users. You will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic startup environment, working with cutting-edge generative AI and voice/transcription models and technologies. As part of our engineering team, you will work alongside experienced engineers to take ideas from zero to one. You will own meaningful projects, contribute to product decisions, and learn what it takes to build and scale software for healthcare professionals. This role is for self-starters who like to experiment, figure things out, and ship. You will have autonomy, with guidance and feedback from the team.

Anticipated dates: January 11th - April 30th.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with our engineering team to build features and products from the ground up.
• Own a scoped project from initial design through implementation, testing, and deployment, with support from experienced engineers.
• Explore and apply generative AI and voice/transcription technologies to solve real problems for healthcare professionals.
• Participate actively in product, design, and development discussions, contributing fresh ideas and perspectives.
• Learn from healthcare professionals and translate their feedback into thoughtful product improvements.
• Help develop secure, scalable software that meets our HIPAA compliance and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and experience building software through coursework, personal projects, open-source contributions, or previous internships.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and comfort working through ambiguity in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Willingness to wear multiple hats, from understanding user needs and designing features to writing code, testing, and debugging.
• Curiosity, openness to feedback, and a willingness to learn through rapid iteration and experimentation.
