About the Role

Virtual Learning Facilitator, Unbound Academy (Remote) - $60,000/year USD

Key Responsibilities

• Leading interactive virtual workshops focused on life skills such as communication, creativity, problem-solving, and self-direction.
• Mentoring students one-on-one and in small groups to build confidence, ownership, and executive functioning.
• Using platform data and student signals to personalize support and track progress over time.
• Collaborating with fellow educators to design and continuously improve project-based learning experiences.
• Creating a safe, high-energy environment where students feel seen, challenged, and motivated to grow.
• Support student growth and life readiness by leading transformative, real-world learning experiences within a hybrid, fully virtual school model.

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Teaching core academic subjects; those are handled by adaptive AI tutors.
• Delivering scripted lectures or managing a traditional classroom model.
• Grading worksheets, assigning homework, or preparing standardized lesson plans.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Valid U.S. teaching certificate from any state, or an expired certificate eligible for reinstatement, with certification transferable to Arizona.
• Clear, engaging, age-appropriate communication for students ages 8–14, with an energetic virtual presence.
• Comfort leading students live via video, with organized transitions and strong attention to detail.
• Able to work in a hybrid role in Arizona.
• Work in a hybrid model, supporting students in a way that actually prepares them for life.

Qualifications

• Licensed teachers ready to mentor kids, focusing on personal growth and building real skills through guided workshops, coaching, and exploration.
• Educators willing to relocate to Arizona.
• Not for educators trying to replicate traditional school on Zoom.
• Done with classroom busywork and ready to do meaningful work.

About Unbound Academy

Unbound Academy is Arizona’s first virtual, tuition-free charter school, designed to make grades 4-8 limitless, personal, and exciting.

Working with Us

• This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position.
• The position is immediately available.
• Requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
• Compensation: $30 USD/hour, which equates to $60,000 USD/year.
• Payment period is weekly.
