Job Title: Registered Nurse New Graduate
About the Role
- Baptist Health System offers a year-long New Grad RN Nurse Residency program for newly licensed RNs.
- Designed for RNs within the first six months of their professional RN practice.
- Goal is to provide tools for exceptional bedside care.
About the Program
- Provides orientation to the hospital and selected area of practice.
- Aims to achieve competency in various nursing areas, including:
- Acute-care regulatory requirements
- Interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Technical proficiency for the chosen clinical area
- Structured to support new nurse cohort bonding with peers.
- Includes online and classroom learning, interaction with team members, fellow nurses, administration, and leaders.
- Features an assigned nurse preceptor for support from orientation throughout the program.
- Offers ongoing training, networking opportunities, and social activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Provides direct clinical patient care.
- Assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift and unit basis.
- Supervises staff to whom appropriate care is delegated.
- Supports CNO to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Registered Nurse License in the State
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) upon hire or obtained within 30 days of employment
- Other Certifications may be required during employment
Qualifications
- No previous experience needed.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
