Field Engineer, AFG

JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) focuses on cutting-edge work for clients in Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As a Field Engineer, you will work on advanced construction projects and grow your career alongside a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively participates in the project-specific safety plan and culture.
• Demonstrates commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring.
• Works with tools and executes self-perform work embedded as part of a crew of craftsmen.
• Acquires knowledge of company best practice standards and fundamentals for building and construction techniques through hands-on, on-the-job training.
• Builds relationships and develops communication and interpersonal skills with trades people and project team members.
• Develops understanding of various company functions and support roles.
• Learns and applies company standards for equipment usage in specific building processes.
• Demonstrates teamwork and collaborates with others.
• Learns and incorporates Lean practices into daily activities.
• Participates in various meetings, such as weekly work plans.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
• Communication skills, verbal and written.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Acquire knowledge in layout skills.
• Knowledge of crane flagging and rigging.
• Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources.
• Knowledge of the means and methods of construction management.
• Knowledge of Lean process and philosophy.
• Acquire knowledge of productivity rates.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• Participation in a federally required training or apprenticeship program, depending upon location (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
