Ed Tech Information Technology Support Specialist

About the Role

Brawerman Elementary School of Wilshire Boulevard Temple is seeking an ENTRY-LEVEL School Technology Support Specialist. This role is responsible for providing school-based technical support to students and staff, ensuring technology hardware and software meet educational needs. The Specialist will work both independently and collaboratively, resolving user technical problems and coordinating with other technology staff for more complex issues. Candidates are expected to familiarize themselves with the mission, culture, and operations of Wilshire Boulevard Temple and Brawerman Elementary School.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of student and faculty Apple devices (iPads, MacBooks, iMacs), printers, presentation equipment, and related hardware.
• Assign and collect student Apple devices and peripherals.
• Manage user account creation and removal.
• Assign one-day loaner devices to students; assess damage and submit repair tickets.
• Support staff and students in troubleshooting Apple hardware, software, and peripherals, including printing errors, network connectivity, presentation system issues, email, and device power.
• Purchase Apple devices and accessories.
• Monitor student use of equipment, internet, email, and other technology resources.
• Administer and maintain content filtering systems for student safety and age-appropriate online access.
• Manage Apple device enrollment, configuration, and deployment using Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools, specifically JAMF.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and toner changes for printers & copiers.
• Support annual testing efforts.
• Share information with school staff regarding learning opportunities, technical implementations, timelines, and technology requirements specific to the Apple ecosystem.
• Ensure technology labs on all sites are fully functional.
• Support after-school programs and projects, providing technology assistance during extended hours.
• Support religious schools on occasional weekends (mandatory).
• Support ECC (Early Childhood Center) technology.
• Update firmware/OS on Apple devices, including iPadOS and macOS updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Apple ecosystem expertise.
• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools, specifically JAMF.
• Basic troubleshooting for printers & copiers.
• Reliable personal transportation is required to travel between three campus locations:

• Occasional weekend availability in support of religious school programs is a mandatory requirement.
• Physical requirements include operating computer equipment, moving and lifting computer equipment and related peripherals (bending, pushing, repetitive motions, kneeling, and stooping).
• Must have the physical ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
