About the Role

The Video Editor role at Ya Glob is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Video Editor will work closely with creative and marketing teams to edit raw footage into compelling video content for digital, social, and marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and trim raw video clips.
• Add transitions and effects.
• Sync audio.
• Perform basic color correction.
• Prepare videos for various platforms and formats.
• Collaborate on storyboards.
• Integrate motion graphics and visual elements.
• Maintain brand consistency across all video assets.
• Meet project deadlines.
• Take feedback constructively.
• Contribute ideas to improve video quality and viewer engagement.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundational skills in Video Editing and Video Production.
• Familiarity with working with raw footage and different video formats.
• Ability to perform Video Color Grading.
• Experience or interest in Motion Graphics and Graphics.
• Basic proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro) and graphic tools (e.g., After Effects, Photoshop) is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of relevant experience; internships, freelance projects, or a strong portfolio of personal work are highly valued.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to follow creative briefs.
• Openness to feedback and iterative revisions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site team environment.
• Relevant education in media, film, design, communication, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
