About the Role

The University Vertical Partner is a volunteer, remote role focused on strengthening FutureCaptains’ engagement with universities and higher education institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with university administrators, faculty, and student bodies.
• Coordinate outreach activities such as webinars, workshops, and information sessions.
• Identify collaboration opportunities.
• Share FutureCaptains’ programs and resources with campus stakeholders.
• Gather feedback to improve offerings for students.
• Support content creation for university communication channels.
• Help organize virtual events that promote career guidance and mentorship.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic digital literacy: comfort using online collaboration tools, video conferencing platforms, and social media for outreach.

Qualifications

• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage university staff, faculty, and students.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, including experience in conducting virtual meetings, workshops, or seminars.
• Organizational and coordination skills to manage outreach activities, events, and follow-ups across multiple institutions.
• Background or interest in education, career counseling, student development, or community engagement is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, demonstrating reliability, initiative, and a collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to equitable, inclusive support for diverse student populations and a genuine interest in helping individuals make better career decisions.
• Relevant experience in university relations, student affairs, non-profit work, or similar roles is an advantage but not strictly required.
