About the Role

The Tender Engineer is responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process for engineering and consultancy projects. This is an on-site, full-time role based in Kolkata.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying relevant tenders.
• Reviewing tender documents and technical specifications.
• Coordinating with internal teams to gather technical, commercial, and legal inputs.
• Preparing comprehensive bid proposals, cost estimates, BOQs, and supporting documentation.
• Ensuring compliance with client requirements and applicable standards.
• Tracking submission deadlines.
• Participating in pre-bid meetings and clarifications.
• Supporting post-submission follow-ups, negotiations, and documentation.
• Maintaining tender databases.
• Updating management on tender status.
• Contributing to process improvements for efficient bid management.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with estimation or tender management software tools.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, or related discipline).
• Ability to understand drawings, specifications, and project scopes.
• Experience in tendering, bid preparation, estimation, and costing for engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Solid understanding of contract terms, procurement processes, and regulatory or compliance requirements relevant to engineering tenders.
• Effective communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate inputs from cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and proposals.
• Ability to work on-site in Kolkata, manage multiple tenders simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering or a related field.
• Prior experience in a tendering or proposals role will be considered an advantage.
