About the Role
MARKT-PILOT is seeking a self-driven and passionate Business Development Representative to play a crucial role in driving growth and expanding the company's customer base. This role's primary focus will be generating and qualifying leads, setting the stage for the sales team to close deals. The objective is to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers in the early stages of the sales funnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify a steady flow of US prospects by sourcing relevant companies and contacts from lead databases and targeted research, in partnership with Marketing.
- Run high-volume outbound outreach by phone, email, and social channels. Build and refine sequences, tailor messaging, and follow up consistently.
- Qualify prospects by exploring account fit, business needs and pain points, budget, decision authority, interest, and readiness for a next step.
- Book qualified meetings and product demonstrations for Account Executives, then hand over opportunities with useful context and stay aligned on follow-through.
- Build strong knowledge of MARKT-PILOT™ and MP ONE™ and the manufacturing market, then explain the value proposition clearly and accurately.
- Build relationships with prospective customers, engage in meaningful conversations, address questions or objections, and create a positive first impression.
- Maintain accurate lead and activity records in HubSpot, keep data current, and monitor calls, cadence activity, meetings, conversion, and stage-one pipeline.
- Test and improve cold-call scripts, email sequences, and prospecting processes with Marketing and Sales, adapting to feedback and evolving messaging.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- CRM experience, especially HubSpot, is preferred.
- Communication confidently and clearly by phone, email, and in presentations.
- Ability to build rapport and address objections effectively.
- Persistence and resilience through high-volume outreach, rejection, and uneven weekly results.
- Time management effectively, think critically, prioritize promising accounts, and use sound judgment when qualifying opportunities.
- Adaptability to feedback and changing messaging.
- Collaboration across Marketing and Sales to improve outreach.
- Ability to maintain accurate lead and activity records and take responsibility for tracking activity and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Relevant business development, sales, or customer-facing experience is helpful. Strong early-career candidates are also welcome; prior experience is not a requirement.
- B2B/SaaS sales or lead-generation experience is a plus, though a SaaS background is not required.
- A self-starting, motivated, and curious mindset, with eagerness to learn and take ownership of goals.
