What You'll Work On

As a Product Design & Development Intern, you will participate in the complete product development journey — from brainstorming and concept development to designing, prototyping, testing, and refining physical products.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Ideation & Design Thinking: Brainstorm innovative product concepts, explore new ideas, research trends, and develop creative solutions.
• 2D & Graphic Designing: Create designs, vector illustrations, product layouts, and laser-cutting files using CorelDRAW or similar software.
• 3D Product Designing: Develop 3D models, product components, enclosures, and assemblies using Fusion 360 or similar CAD tools.
• Rapid Prototyping & Fabrication: Work with laser-cutting machines, 3D printing, and other prototyping techniques.
• Toy & Game Development: Design innovative toys, puzzles, board games, mechanical toys, interactive products, and engaging play experiences.
• Materials & Manufacturing: Explore different materials, mechanisms, fabrication techniques, assembly methods, and cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
• Basic Electronics Integration: Incorporate LEDs, switches, sensors, motors, and other simple electronic components.
• Product Testing & Improvement: Build prototypes, evaluate functionality and usability, identify design challenges, and improve products.
• Product Visuals & Packaging: Assist with product graphics, packaging concepts, illustrations, and presentation materials.

Who Can Apply

Students and recent graduates pursuing:

• B.Des / M.Des in Product Design or Industrial Design
• Toy Design
• Design with specialization in physical products, fabrication, or prototyping
• Related design, engineering, or creative disciplines with demonstrated hands-on product development skills

Preferred Skills

Design & Technical Skills

• Familiarity with CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, or similar 2D design tools
• Basic knowledge of Fusion 360 or equivalent 3D CAD software
• Understanding of product dimensions, materials, mechanisms, and assembly
• Interest in laser cutting, 3D printing, and physical prototyping
• Basic understanding of electronics is an advantage

Creative & Problem-Solving Skills

• Strong design thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to sketch, visualize, and communicate product ideas
• Curiosity about how products work and how they are manufactured
• Willingness to explore new materials, tools, and manufacturing techniques
• Ability to learn independently, experiment, and improve designs through iteration

You do not need to be an expert in every tool. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, comfortable working with their hands, and excited about building real products.
