About the Role

Crossing Infotech is hiring a Medical Billing Intern for a full-time remote internship in India. The internship duration is 1 to 3 months, with a monthly stipend of INR 14,500 to INR 16,000. Freshers and students are welcome to apply. Interns will work on live projects under the guidance of experienced team members.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies accurately and on time.
• Enter patient, insurance, and billing details into billing software and spreadsheets.
• Review claims for errors, missing information, and incorrect codes before submission.
• Follow up on pending, denied, and rejected claims and assist in resolving issues.
• Post payments, check payment records, and reconcile accounts receivable.
• Maintain billing records and prepare daily and weekly claims and collections reports in Excel.
• Adhere to healthcare compliance, data privacy, and confidentiality standards.
• Collaborate with the team to understand requirements and deliver tasks on time.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic understanding of medical billing and the healthcare insurance process.
• Basic knowledge of claims processing, medical terminology, and billing terms.
• Basic knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets (formulas, filters, sorting).
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good typing and data entry skills.
• Good written and spoken English communication.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Familiarity with US healthcare, insurance claims, EOB, and HIPAA basics.
• Basic understanding of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and denial management.
• Any medical billing course, certification, or internship experience.

Eligibility

• Students and recent graduates in B.Pharm, D.Pharm, BDS, BPT, B.Sc (Nursing, Life Sciences, Biotechnology), BBA, B.Com, BAMS, BHMS, or any related field.
• Freshers interested in building a career in medical billing and healthcare operations.
• Candidates with a laptop or computer and a stable internet connection.
