About the Role
Nintendo of America is offering an internship opportunity for an IT Software Engineer from June through August. This role allows interns to actively contribute to meaningful projects and gain hands-on work experience. The internship will include mentoring, networking opportunities, and exposure to industry leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to Nintendo’s IT team to develop, design, and implement internal/external web-based application features.
- Partner closely with the team in a DevOps environment to deliver seamless, end-to-end solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present work to clients and stakeholders.
- Design technical solutions while supporting operational requirements and strategic initiatives.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Information System, or a related field.
- 3.0+ GPA.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with a graduation conferral date between May 2027 and June 2028.
- Preferred programming languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with front-end (e.g., React) and/or back-end (e.g., Spring) frameworks.
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Familiarity with software development principles and modern web technologies.
- Understanding of Git and/or other version control systems.
- Familiarity with web APIs and AWS services, such as ECS, Lambda, and DocumentDB.
- Knowledge of UNIX and shell environments, such as Bash and Zsh.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- Able to articulate technical challenges and solutions effectively.
- Adaptable and eager to learn and contribute to a dynamic environment.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Able to work 40 hours a week onsite throughout the course of the 10-week summer internship between June 14 – August 20.
- This position is 100% onsite in Redmond, WA.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
