Mechanical and Electrical Production Assembler

About the Role

Laser Products Industries (LPI) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry Level Mechanical and Electrical Production Assembler to join their team. This hands-on role involves assembling subassemblies and full systems for 3D laser measuring systems. The position is suited for individuals who take pride in their work, are eager to learn, and wish to grow with a fast-paced, innovative company.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembling mechanical and electrical subassemblies.
• Taking full ownership of assigned assemblies to ensure they meet or exceed LPI’s high-quality standards.
• Performing precise, detail-oriented work with care and consistency.
• Using basic tools and procedures to assemble, solder, inspect, and test components.
• Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure smooth workflow and top-tier product output.
• Supporting inventory management at the workstation, keeping parts stocked and organized.
• Proactively identifying and documenting quality issues or defects.
• Participating in rework and updates based on engineering revisions.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools: Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, soldering irons, torque drivers, etc.
• Ability to follow detailed written and visual instructions (build sheets, diagrams, specs).
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate simple inventory or assembly software.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of mechanical/electrical assembly experience preferred but not required.
• Strong sense of ownership and pride in producing high-quality work.
• Positive, self-starting attitude—willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical or trade school is a plus.
