About the Role
The candidate is required to review claims documents like medical documents, medical bills and documents submitted by claimants or employers to be able to review and take decision to approve or deny claims. Insurance is a legal agreement between two parties—the insurer and the insured—also known as insurance coverage or insurance policy. The insurer provides financial coverage for the losses of the insured that he or she may bear under certain circumstances.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver business solutions that support the claims process across its lifecycle, including first notice of loss, claims investigation, payment administration or adjudication, provider reimbursement (health care), subrogation and recovery.
- Review claims documents like medical documents, medical bills and documents submitted by claimants or employers.
- Make decisions to approve or deny claims.
- Solve routine problems, largely through precedent and referral to general guidelines.
- Work as an individual contributor as part of a team with a predetermined, narrow scope of work.
- Receive detailed instructions on all tasks.
