About the Role
Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS) is seeking motivated engineering students for a paid Applications Engineer (AE) internship focused on power electronics. Interns will gain experience with the company, its products, technology, and team, while providing technical support and development for analog IC and module products for power conversion solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Research MPS company, power products, and technology.
- Provide application support for customers and Field Application Engineers (FAE).
- Work with AEs and DEs on new product evaluation and debugs.
- Write application notes, design notes, and articles.
- Present project summary and results to senior leadership.
- Engage with the AE team in technical support and development of analog IC and module products.
- Perform simulation and bench evaluation for new products.
- Provide reference designs.
- Debug customer designs.
- Work in the office or lab, 3 days per week, as coordinated with a supervisor.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Hands-on experience with power electronics hardware implementation and testing.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.
Qualifications
- 3rd year BSEE or 4th year MSEE student.
- Written and verbal proficiency in English with excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to live in San Jose, CA during the internship.

Hourly pay range: $40/hr - $45/hr
