Part-time, remote role

The Coordinator of Volunteers is responsible for organizing and supporting volunteers who help strengthen Aforro’s community relationships. This role involves recruiting volunteers, onboarding and training them, and ensuring they understand the company’s mission around trust and transparency in grocery delivery. The Coordinator will schedule and track volunteer activities, provide regular guidance and feedback, and maintain clear communication channels with volunteers and internal teams. Day-to-day work includes planning community outreach initiatives, coordinating online and local engagement efforts, and using basic digital tools to manage volunteer data and documentation. The role also involves identifying opportunities to improve volunteer programs and sharing insights with leadership to enhance Aforro’s impact across neighborhoods.

Qualifications

• Skills in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training
• Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication skills
• Experience or aptitude in Community Outreach
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple volunteer activities remotely
• Comfortable using basic digital tools (spreadsheets, communication platforms, scheduling software)
• Prior experience coordinating volunteers, working with community organizations, or supporting social impact initiatives is beneficial
• A commitment to building trust, empathy, and transparency in community interactions is essential
