Cashier

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Cashier role based in the Greater Hyderabad Area at 5 PACKAGING.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer transactions, including billing.
• Receive payments in cash, card, or digital methods.
• Issue receipts accurately.
• Maintain a well-organized cash counter.
• Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Promptly report discrepancies.
• Support customers with basic product and order information.
• Coordinate with the sales and warehouse teams on order status.
• Follow all company policies related to cash handling and record keeping.
• Maintain cleanliness around the counter.
• Adhere to safety and security procedures.
• Provide respectful, professional service to all customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical aptitude and ability to manage cash, reconcile daily collections, and maintain accurate transaction records.
• Basic computer literacy, including use of POS systems, billing software, and common office applications.
• Clear, professional communication skills in English and local languages.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and integrity in handling cash, invoices, and customer information.
• Ability to work on-site in the Greater Hyderabad Area, stand for extended periods, and manage a steady flow of customers.
• Prior experience as a cashier or in retail/warehouse operations is preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or commerce-related education is an advantage.
• Willingness to follow standard operating procedures, meet shift schedules, and contribute to a safe, inclusive workplace.
