Cloud And Data Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a Cloud And Data Engineer to help build and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud data platforms on Google Cloud. You’ll work alongside senior engineers and architects on real analytics and AI use cases, with plenty of room to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

Data Pipelines

• Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, and Composer.
• Develop ingestion, transformation, validation, and loading workflows across multiple data sources.
• Write and optimize SQL, implement transformations, and support data modeling.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and resolve data quality issues.

Cloud Platform

• Help build secure, reliable data lakehouse and data warehouse solutions on GCP.
• Implement storage and processing solutions for analytics and AI workloads.
• Follow engineering standards and improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Infrastructure & DataOps

• Provision and configure infrastructure using Terraform.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and environment configuration.
• Monitor workflows and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
• Apply cloud security best practices, including IAM, networking, encryption, and access controls.

Quality & Governance

• Implement data validation checks and maintain data quality.
• Follow data governance, lineage, and documentation standards.
• Participate in testing, code reviews, and production support.

Collaboration

• Work with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
• Own your tasks, communicate progress clearly, and flag blockers early.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, reusable components, and process improvements.

Requirements & Tech Stack

Core Skills & Technologies

• Solid understanding of SQL, relational data concepts, and ETL/ELT.
• Programming and debugging skills (Python preferred).
• Familiarity with GCP, especially BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
• Understanding of batch and streaming data processing and data modeling.
• Exposure to Terraform or infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and testing workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Fresh graduates with strong fundamentals and relevant projects are encouraged to apply.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on project experience (academic, internship, or personal) with data pipelines or cloud services.
• Experience with Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, or Composer.
• Interest in AI/ML infrastructure and Vertex AI.
• GCP certification (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer).
