- The role involves desk-based work from home in New York, United States.
- Working days and shift times may vary.
Key Responsibilities
- Review incoming sales support requests from shared email queues, customer calls, and CRM assignments, identifying the customer question, request owner, and next action.
- Check customer contact information, product interests, and previous conversations before responding, updating missing details without duplicating existing customer or opportunity entries.
- Answer routine questions about available products, service features, and the sales process using approved reference materials, confirming unclear information with the appropriate contact.
- Communicate with customers through email and a contact-center phone system such as RingCentral, recording questions, responses, and any commitments made during each exchange.
- Prepare standard product summaries and quotation requests using approved templates, checking requested options and routing pricing decisions to the assigned sales representative.
- Coordinate sales conversations and product demonstration appointments, confirming participant availability, sharing meeting details, and notifying the sales representative when arrangements change.
- Update opportunity stages, customer interests, and upcoming actions in the CRM based on confirmed sales representative instructions.
- Follow up on unanswered questions and outstanding customer requests at agreed intervals, escalating pricing exceptions or unresolved product questions to the sales team lead.
- Send clear handoff notes when requests move between colleagues, then confirm ownership and communicate the next step to the customer before closing the request.
- Meet quality expectations through accurate updates, timely responses, complete conversation notes, and dependable follow-up; review corrections with the team lead to improve future work.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience working with a CRM such as HubSpot.
- Experience with a phone system such as RingCentral.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No experience required; related sales support, customer-facing, or office experience preferred, including experience gained through school activities, volunteering, or internships.
- Basic understanding of sales inquiries, product questions, quotation requests, and the distinction between supporting a sale and approving commercial terms.
- Willingness to learn CRM navigation, customer lookup, opportunity updates, and phone system features through guided practice and reference materials.
- Clear spoken and written communication for answering customer questions, confirming details, and preparing concise handoff notes for sales colleagues.
- Ability to compare information carefully, identify missing details, and ask for guidance before sharing uncertain pricing or product information.
- Reliable computer, high-speed internet, and quiet private workspace suitable for remote customer conversations and focused desk-based work.
- Availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
