About Bruqe

Bruqe is a systems-intelligence advisory that helps leaders make high-stakes decisions in uncertain, fast-moving environments. They work with corporate, investment, and public-sector clients on questions shaping long-term direction, including capital allocation, competitiveness, resilience, market entry and growth, technology and investment priorities, supply-chain resilience, and major industrial or policy transitions. Their approach blends strategy, market intelligence, policy research, and quantitative modeling with AI-driven analytics, causal and scenario modeling, and proprietary system-mapping tools.

The Role

This is a full-time, on-site Junior Quantitative Analyst position based in NYC. You will work closely with senior advisors across the full arc of an engagement, from framing the strategic question through to the final client presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Framing and research: Scope questions involving long-horizon uncertainty, transition risk, growth, resilience, or competitive positioning. Run structured research, literature reviews, data collection, and synthesis of market, technology, policy, economic, and societal signals into clear, decision-relevant insight.
  • Scenario and systems work: Build scenario narratives, assumptions, and uncertainty matrices, along with early-warning indicators. Contribute to systems maps and causal frameworks that surface dependencies, incentives, constraints, feedback loops, and second-order effects.
  • Analysis and implications: Support sensitivity analyses on strategic options and assess what different futures mean for strategy, capital allocation, operating models, partnerships, and capability needs.
  • Client deliverables: Translate research and analysis into memos, presentations, and other materials for senior leadership discussions and decision forums, ensuring clarity and evidence-led content.
  • Internal contribution: Help build Bruqe's internal knowledge base, including foresight methodologies, industry analytics, models, and reusable templates.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Comfort building structured arguments.
  • Ability to interpret complex systems.
  • Proficiency working with data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to make complex ideas accessible.
  • Comfort working across disciplines.
  • Ability to sit with uncertainty, rather than reaching for single forecasts.
  • Ability to juggle multiple workstreams in a small, high-performing team.
  • Attention to detail under time pressure.
  • Familiarity with modeling, scenario analysis, or data visualization tools is a plus.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in economics, public policy, engineering, business, international relations, sustainability, technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in strategy consulting, research, policy analysis, corporate planning, investment analysis, or another rigorously analytical environment.
  • Genuine interest in strategic foresight, scenario planning, systems thinking, geopolitical change, or technological and market transitions.

What Success Looks Like

You will help clients move from broad uncertainty to disciplined strategic choices by:

  • Identifying forces that could materially change an outcome.
  • Clarifying what different futures would mean for the business.
  • Supporting decisions that hold up as uncertainty resolves.
