About the Role
Kaukauna Utilities is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team. This entry-level role is designed for recent graduates and early-career engineers interested in electric utility engineering. The position offers hands-on experience in designing, improving, and maintaining the electric distribution system.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, design, and construction of electric distribution projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings and construction documents using CAD and GIS software.
- Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction inspections.
- Coordinate projects with contractors, municipalities, customers, and internal operations teams.
- Support engineering analysis, project estimates, budgeting, and documentation.
- Learn utility engineering standards, electrical distribution design, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to projects that improve the reliability and safety of our electric system.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- 0–3 years of engineering experience (internships and co-ops are encouraged).
- Interest in electric power systems, utility engineering, or electrical infrastructure.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in both an office environment and outdoors in the field.
- Desire to learn, collaborate, and grow professionally.
