AIML Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to support strategic AI-driven modernization initiatives. This role will participate in architecture assessment, solution design, model development, and deployment activities as part of a three-person engineering team. The contractor will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and HCL vendor resources throughout multiple project phases, beginning with deep-dive analysis and architecture planning. The position will leverage modern AI technologies and Azure AI services to develop intelligent solutions that improve operational efficiency, automate business processes, and accelerate innovation. The role will utilize AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity and solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in AI and machine learning architecture assessments and modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, data teams, and HCL vendor partners to identify and prioritize AI use cases.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy machine learning and Generative AI solutions.
• Build and integrate AI applications using Azure AI Services and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Develop, train, evaluate, and optimize machine learning models for business applications.
• Implement MLOps practices for model deployment, monitoring, governance, and lifecycle management.
• Create data pipelines and workflows to support AI model development and production operations.
• Develop APIs and integrations for AI-powered applications and services.
• Perform model performance analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
• Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, documentation, and deployment activities.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong experience with Python development.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML model development and deployment.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience with Azure AI Services and cloud-based AI solutions.
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and model lifecycle management.
• Experience implementing MLOps and AI deployment practices.
• Experience building APIs and integrating AI solutions into enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and vendor partners.
