About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Material Planning Controller role based in Gurugram. The role is responsible for planning and controlling material requirements to support production schedules, ensuring timely availability of components while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring material flows
- Updating material plans
- Coordinating with procurement and suppliers
- Tracking delivery performance
- Analyzing demand forecasts
- Identifying potential shortages or excesses
- Implementing corrective actions to prevent production disruptions
- Collaborating with warehouse, logistics, and production teams to improve material handling processes, data accuracy, and overall supply chain efficiency
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Skills in Materials Management, including planning, allocation, and coordination within a manufacturing environment
- Skills in Inventory Management, with experience in monitoring stock levels, cycle counts, and optimization of safety stock
- Skills in Procurement, including basic understanding of purchase orders, supplier coordination, and lead-time management
- Skills in Material Handling, with familiarity in warehouse operations, logistics flows, and safe handling practices
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems
- Strong data analysis skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel or similar tools
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills
- Focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in automotive or manufacturing environments is a plus
- Knowledge of lean or continuous improvement principles is a plus
Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Operations, or a related field is beneficial.
