About the Role

Purple Business is seeking a confident, expressive, and camera-friendly Reels Creator Intern to create engaging short-form content. This role is for individuals who enjoy being ON CAMERA and want to become recognizable faces for Purple Business across platforms like Instagram and YouTube Shorts.

Key Responsibilities

• On-Camera Reels Creation
• Appear on camera to create engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form videos.
• Confidently speak to the camera with a natural, expressive, and engaging manner.
• Record educational, entertaining, promotional, and storytelling-based videos.
• Present scripts with personality, confidence, and effective communication.
• Experiment with different presentation styles, hooks, expressions, and storytelling techniques.
• Independently record videos using a smartphone or suitable camera setup.
• Develop an engaging on-camera personality.
• Content Ideation & Storytelling
• Brainstorm video ideas related to entrepreneurship, small businesses, AI, digital marketing, and business growth.
• Research trending reels, viral formats, trending audio, and popular social media content.
• Convert complex business and marketing concepts into short, easy-to-understand, entertaining videos.
• Develop engaging introductions, creative hooks, storytelling structures, and calls to action.
• Collaborate with the social media team to prepare video scripts and content concepts.
• Suggest new content formats and creative experiments.
• Small Business Interviews & Real-World Content
• Interview small business owners, entrepreneurs, and business professionals.
• Conduct recorded conversations about their entrepreneurial journeys, business challenges, marketing strategies, and experiences.
• Prepare interesting interview questions.
• Identify opportunities to create engaging reels from interviews and business owner stories.
• Collaborate with the team to produce content featuring real businesses and entrepreneurs.
• Help build connections with small business owners.
• Social Media & Video Editing Team Collaboration
• Work closely with Purple Business's social media managers, content strategists, and video editors.
• Participate in content brainstorming sessions and creative discussions.
• Coordinate with video editors to transform raw recordings into polished reels.
• Provide inputs on video hooks, pacing, captions, presentation, and audience engagement.
• Collaborate with the design and marketing teams on content calendars and promotional campaigns.
• Take feedback constructively and continuously improve.
• Brand Representation & Social Media Growth
• Become a public-facing content creator representing Purple Business.
• Help establish a recognizable personality and communication style for social media channels.
• Create content that resonates with small business owners and entrepreneurs.
• Contribute toward increasing social media reach, engagement, followers, and brand awareness.
• Explore innovative video formats for social media presence.
• Collaborate with founders on selected videos, product demonstrations, interviews, and brand campaigns.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• On-Camera Confidence: Comfortable and confident speaking directly to a camera.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Expressiveness: Expressive personality and engaging storytelling abilities.
• Short-Form Video Interest: Interest in Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and short-form video content.
• Recording Capability: Ability to record reasonably clear videos using a smartphone.
• Creativity: Creativity and willingness to experiment with different video formats.
• Social Media Awareness: Basic understanding of social media trends and audience engagement.
• Remote Collaboration: Comfortable collaborating remotely with creative and marketing teams.

• Previous experience making Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or personal content.
• Experience with public speaking, anchoring, acting, hosting, or interviewing.

• Basic scriptwriting or video editing skills.
• Familiarity with AI tools for generating content ideas and scripts.
• Professional video editing experience is NOT required.
• Your primary responsibility is presenting, recording, and bringing great content ideas to life.
