About the Role

The Interior Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This position is responsible for preparing detailed interior drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and joinery details based on design concepts and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate designer sketches into precise CAD drawings.
• Coordinate with project managers and site teams to ensure drawings are practical and buildable.
• Update drawings based on feedback and site conditions.
• Maintain drawing standards.
• Organize documentation for multiple projects.
• Support material take-offs and basic quantity estimations.
• Collaborate with design, production, and installation teams to ensure accuracy and smooth project execution.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit) and ability to produce detailed interior drawings.
• Knowledge of interior fit-out processes, joinery details, basic construction methods, and materials used in commercial and residential projects.
• Ability to interpret design concepts, architectural plans, and client specifications into clear, build-ready drawings.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple drawing packages and revisions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with designers, project managers, engineers, and site teams.
• Comfort working on-site in Chennai and willingness to occasionally visit project sites for measurements and coordination.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant drafting experience in interiors is preferred.
