Day Porter

About the Role

• Day Porter position at Cushman & Wakefield.
• Shift Hours: 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday-Friday.
• Reports to the Custodial Manager or Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of custodial duties in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures.
• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces (inside buildings).
• Operate light and heavy commercial floor machines, including buffers and shampoo machines.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas.
• Spot clean daily and shampoo rugs when directed.
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces.
• Perform periodic high dusting.
• Wash windowsills, interior glass in doors, partitions, and specified windows.
• Wash glass and trim at entrance doors, interior/exterior.
• Wash and spot clean interior walls as appropriate daily.
• Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily.
• Damp wipe glass surfaces, empty waste baskets, service soap and toilet paper dispensers, dust sills, clean tile walls, shelves, and stall partitions.
• Monitor and report possible defects such as clogged urinals and lights out.
• Collect building trash daily, place it in an approved container, and put it in the designated collection area.
• Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers.
• Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed.
• Perform periodic work such as leather and wood surface cleaning, polishing, and wall washing.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• Ability to use a portable vacuum cleaner – back pack style.
