Software Engineer

About the Role

The Software Engineer role at Mintive involves owning features end-to-end, from conception to production, across gateway infrastructure, enterprise deployments, and agentic systems. The work leans backend and infra but is not limited to it. You will build UIs when needed and fix connectors during security reviews. Your primary working environment will be Claude and Codex, leveraging agents to increase speed. Your core responsibilities will be shaping problems, making architecture, product, and UX decisions, hardening enterprise paths, designing connectors, protecting security-sensitive surfaces, and identifying subtle errors in generated code. Roles are blurred, and shipping occurs within hours. You will learn directly from founders and customers. Mintive hires across levels, matching compensation to experience. Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Tech Stack

• You are a builder with a track record of shipping to real users (products, internal tools, open-source projects, or serious side projects).
• You ship and iterate without waiting for specs or approvals.
• You have strong fundamentals and learn fast.
• You care about product value and customer needs over technical purity.
• You take infra seriously, considering blast radius, trust boundaries, and the impact of your code on customer agents.
• You can read unfamiliar code, reason from first principles, and explain your tradeoffs.
• You are comfortable across the stack, or you pick up new languages, protocols, and domains fast.
• You are excited to build with agents and learn their strengths and weaknesses.
• You build with AI every day and desire room to move without heavy process.
• Primary working environment: Claude and Codex.
• Comfortable across technologies like TypeScript, Python, and CockroachDB.

Nice to Have

• Experience with developer-facing products, protocol or gateway work, or infrastructure at scale.
• Background in security, identity, or permission systems.
