About the Role
DMC Harper University/Hutzel Women's Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Associate to join their team and provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed doses of medical gases and aerosolized drugs to patients.
- Use oxygen mixtures in conjunction with therapeutic respiratory therapy equipment.
- Perform blood gas analysis and maintenance on analyzers.
- Provide and monitor routine oxygen therapy.
- Operate, calibrate, process, and maintain respiratory equipment.
- Set up and administer therapeutic treatments.
- Perform patient care rounds.
- Interact with the Respiratory Case Manager and/or Senior Respiratory Therapist in the development of the patient's respiratory care plan.
- Perform patient transports.
- Educate patient, as needed, regarding the use of equipment.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- BLS certification required.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of one year of an AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
- OR High School diploma/GED with OJT for a minimum of ten years.
- OR Associates degree in science.
